Dr Lamees Ras is a Urogynaecologist who graduated from UCT as a subspecialist in 2018 . She completed her specialisation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in 2016 and then went on to further subspecialise in Urogynaecology. She became one of the first locally certified Urogynaecologist in South Africa, after the subspeciality received formal recognition and certification.Dr Ras is currently working in the Urogynaecology Unit at Groote Schuur Hospital. She is passionate about improving the quality of life of women with pelvic floor dysfunction, specifically focussing on pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence.
