Uterine Fibroid Embolisation
Uterine Fibroids are very common benign (non-cancerous) growths that develop in the muscular wall of the uterus. 20 to 40 percent of women aged 35 and older have Uterine Fibroids. This is a major cause of heavy bleeding, period pain and infertility. Many women are advised to have a hysterectomy to control their symptoms.
Uterine Fibroid Embolisation is a uterus sparing procedure that selectively targets the fibroids.
It is a highly effective and scientifically established procedure.
