UCT Neurovascular Practice at Netcare UCT Private Academic Hospital specialises in the neurointerventional treatment of cerebrovascular and spinal vascular pathology, as well as open and endoscopic skull base surgery.

Our neurosurgeons are super-specialists who are members of the University of Cape Town and consultants at Groote Schuur Hospital in the Department of Neurosurgery. Additionally, they are members of the Society of Neurosurgeons of South Africa (SNSA), Radiology Society of South Africa (RSSA) and the South African Neurointerventional Society (SANIS).  This academic background has set a priority for the pursuit of research and evidence-based practice, which has resulted in international recognition and positions of leadership.

UCT Neurovascular Practice consults and manages an array of complex (and straight forward) pathology. We are readily available to provide expert advice or a second opinion in our relevant areas of interest.  In providing holistic patient care, UCT Neurovascular Practice partners closely with Interventional Radiologists, ENT specialists, Ophthalmologists, ICU Intensivists, Endocrinologists, Physicians, Anaesthetists, Radiation-oncologists, Neurophysiologists and Allied Health professionals.

UCT Neurovascular Practice is contracted out to various medical aids for surgical and interventional procedures. We strive towards excellence and compassion and aim to partner with patients and their families in their time of need.
