OrthoUCT, located at UCT Private Hospital, is a group practice that provides sub-specialist orthopaedic surgery care.

The field of orthopaedic surgery has expanded greatly over time and this has led to the development of several sub-specialist fields within orthopaedic surgery. At OrthoUCT we are proud to offer expertise in each of the various sub-specialities.

All of the surgeons at OrthoUCT are members of the University of Cape Town and Groote Schuur Hospital Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. They are academically active with teaching and research and recognised as leaders in their respective fields. Our involvement with an academic department ensures that our patients will receive care that is cutting edge, peer-reviewed, evidence-based and in line with the best international orthopaedic practices.

Our practice is supported by numerous other medical specialists including anaesthetists and intensivists and physicians who are also members of the University of Cape Town academic staff.

We have dedicated physiotherapists to ensure early and effective rehabilitation of our patients.
