Intensive Care Unit

The Intensive Care Unit is an intensive care specialist-led closed unit where all patients are managed by the intensivist on duty together with the referring specialist and a dedicated team of nurses, physiotherapists, a dietician and registrars.

There is a doctor on-site 24/7 and the unit is registered with the HPCSA as a specialist training centre. The unit specialises in post-operative care, multiple organ failure and the management of complex patients requiring multidisciplinary care.
