What our patients
SAY
We’d like to share some comments we have recently received
from former patients and their family members:
‘Thank
you so much to all the staff and Doctors on the Surgery ward for
the loving care you gave my husband during his stay. You’re
always in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you all and the
good work you do.’
‘I would
like to take this time to thank the staff at UCT Private Academic
Hospital, for the time that my husband was in the Surgical 1 ward.
Thanks to the different teams that attended to him even up till
the last few seconds of his life here on earth. May God continue
to bless your staff as you attend to the needs of all your patients.’
‘No note
of very sincere thanks can encompass the total satisfaction at all
levels during my short stay – I don’t know how you achieve
it in the current world! But you have achieved at the highest level.
Well done!’
‘I always
felt that I was your only patient, but then again I know that the
other four in the ward felt the same way. What you have achieved
needs to be preserved. You all have the ability to do that and I
experienced your desire and pride to carry that achievement through
the years to come. Thank you sincerely.’
‘It’s
wonderful knowing people as kind and considerate as you are. Thank
you for all you have done. Lots of love, we will never forget what
you’ve done for us
and our children.’
‘To all
the sisters and nurses in ICU + Surgical ward! Only you could care
so much. I truly appreciate all you do for me. Thank you for all
your help and your excellent care at UCT Hospital!! I really appreciate
it and won’t forget any of you.’
‘People
like you help make the world brighter by the nice things you do!’
‘My husband
spent some time in the Hospital recently and we would like to extend
our thanks to all concerned and compliment you on a well run organisation.’
‘We found
the use of our surname by so many of the staff made us feel as if
people were really interested in us and we were not just a number.
We would particularly like to thank and compliment the ICU Staff
for their dedication and interest in their patients’ well
being. Sister Thembi runs the ward with wisdom, grace and efficiency.
Sisters Ellis, Patricia, Pearl and Lynnette were specially helpful
and kind.
I was most grateful that they allowed me to be there for
so much of the time, which was such a help to me and to my husband.
The atmosphere in the General Ward was pleasant and Sister Antionette
and Staff Nurse Kim went out of their way to help us. Many thanks
for trying to make a Hospital visit as easy as possible.’
‘Liewe
Verpleegpersoneel Chirurgiesaal
Aan een en almal van u my opregte waardering en dankbaarheid vir
u bekwame en simpatieke versorging tydens my verblyf in u saal.
Die vriendelike, rustige en gemoedelike atmosfeer waarbinne ek as
pasient so lekker verlig gevoel het spreek baie van die hoë
gehalte diens
wat u hospital lewer.’
‘I wish
to convey my deepest appreciation for the wonderful teamwork evident
at this great hospital. It was a privilege for me to be here among
such capable, dedicated staff – all working in harmony doing
wonderful work to bring recovery and health back to many patients,
and of course myself.
I noticed this dedication from the Specialist doctors, the nursing
staff, the admin staff – right down to the domestic and kitchen
staff – all had smiling faces, eager to be of service.
Then of course, the fine work done by yourselves and the laboratory
staff. It takes team work like I have experienced to make this hospital
a very special and indeed in fact the very BEST! This tells me that
all who work here are proud of the work done at UCT Hospital. ’
‘Very many
thanks to you and your staff for all the care and attention I received
during my stay following my back op. I am making very good progress
and look forward to a full recovery very soon.’
