Uterine Fibroid Embolisation

Uterine Fibroids

Uterine Fibroids

Uterine Fibroids are very common benign (non cancerous) growths  that develop in the muscular wall of the uterus.  20 to 40 percent of women aged 35 and older have Uterine Fibroids. This is a major cause of heavy bleeding, period pain and infertility.  Many women are advised to have a hysterectomy to control their symptoms.

Uterine Fibroid Embolisation is a  uterus sparing  procedure that selectively targets the fibroids.

It is a highly effective and scientifically established procedure.
